Scotmum is proud to support working mums and is keen to bring you a different, insiprational mum on a regular basis so that you can see how they manage to attain that elusive work/life balance. This week, Scotmum interviews Toni Klineberg from Glasgow who is mum to Brendan, 15 months.

Make no mistake,Toni Klineberg is a hard working mum. Don't let the glamourous exterior fool you into thinking she is just a yummy mummy. Toni successfully holds down two jobs and is a mother to Brendan, and is 8 and a half months pregnant to boot! Toni admits that she probably would not have been able to do it all without the fantastic support that she has had from her family, espeically her mum, Liz. It was Toni's decision to return to work part-time as a nail technician in Glasgow's West End in order to retain a sense of her identity. "I thought that going back to work would give me a boost." Toni tells me. "It would allow me to earn money while also boosting my confidence so that I still felt a bit like the 'old' me." Toni works one day a week at the Holywood Nails and Beauty Salon on Vinicombe Street and then travels to the Scottish Beauty School at Hillington where she trains women to become nail technicians themselves. Toni says that she sees a great deal of mothers looking to retrain once they have had a baby. "Women find that their previous jobs no longer suit their new lives and are keen to retrain in order to be able to fit their work around their family. This can be a very flexible career for mothers who are looking to work hours that suit them. I see a lot of mums starting their own businesses this way and it can be very empowering for them."
There is no doubt that Toni has been extremely successful in both her career and family life, but she would be the first to admit that it is not easy. I asked Toni what her top tips would be for a working mum who is trying to juggle everything, she said "The best advice I would give other working mums is to get themselves into a routine and stay calm. That way you don't get yourself flustered if you are organised for each day".
Scotmum wishes Toni well in her career and luck as she becomes a mummy for the second time in early September
